WALK DESCRIPTION: Explore the small eastern Ontario town of Alfred. Alfred is a Franco-Ontarian community about 70 km east of Ottawa. Also known as the french-fry capital of Canada, Alfred is a picturesque rural town.
DIRECTIONS TO START POINT: From Ottawa going East on Hwy 417, take Hwy 174 toward Orleans, and carry on straight on County Road 17 up to Alfred, going through Rockland and Plantagenet. The restaurant will be on your left on the main road, close to the middle of Alfred.
