Explore Blackburn Hamlet which is surrounded by the National Capital Commission greenbelt which provides Blackburn Hamlet residents and visitors with over 250 km of hiking and cross country skiing trails.  Join us for drinks or a meal, at the Blackburn Arms Pub, after the walk.

WALK DESCRIPTION: Notre-Dame Cemetery, established in 1872, is Ottawa's oldest and largest Catholic Cemetery. It is the burial place for Wilfred Laurier, a Canadian Prime Minister and other well-known Canadians.  Beechwood Cemetery is designated as a National Historic Site of Canada. In addition to being Canada's National Cemetery, it is also the National Military Cemetery of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police National Memorial Cemetery. Our walk will take us through this beautiful woodland cemetery.
